Its cheap and powerful, but i dunno if the card is better than the nvidia cards.
I found yesterday an article about Nvidia Physx , this function is atm in a beta stadium for the new GT 280/260 and 9800 cards. Nvidia will release it very soon for all Geforce 8 models and higher.
Physx is from Ageia and works for example with UT3 , here is the whole list:

But the best:
Physx is workin with only one videoard, u don need SLI or 3x SLI
And the very best:
U can combine different cards:
e.g: 9800 + 8800 or in my case 8800GTS + 8600 GT :lol:

ye price to performance its good but it depends on what your going from to if its worth upgrading, i dunno if theres a point in going from a 8800gtx to the 4870.
looks like it should be a 9800xt :lol:

also vassy baby the 1gb versions arent out yet the 4870x2 1gb and the 4870 1gb , these are ment to be gddr5 aswell i think, where the others are gddr3
