OK here is the news (Obviously Russian and Coley will add some smart comments after or take the piss)
I went to a Karate Kumite (Fighting) session on Saturday and one of my fights was against a member of the England Karate squad. As I expected I got a few knocks and bumps but that's what contact sports are about. I received a roundhouse kick to my left side which winded me, but I thought nothing of it and continued through the pain.
Sunday I took my 3rd Kyu Brown Belt grading and passed with flying colours even though my side was still hurting and I got another smack on it. I just ignored the pain and continued.
Later in the evening the pain got worse and it was difficult to breathe at times, so my missus persuaded me to go to A&E.
Would you believe it I have a cracked rib from the fight on Saturday and I'm now off work on some sort of crazy painkillers that make me feel all fucked up.
But anyway I got my Brown Belt, WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!!!!!! :D

Afterwards they gave me a chupa chups lollypop and the nurse kissed it better so I wiped my tears away and took some pain killers, then went home for a bedtime story from the misses, it was tough but I battled through and was home safe and sound and asleep by 7.30pm.quote]
